In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top city building games on the Android platform in Europe showed diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the top five games based on data from Sensor Tower.

SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts saw significant fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $107K in late November. Weekly downloads showed a consistent increase, reaching approximately 36.8K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, ending the year at around 483K.

The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, also from Electronic Arts, experienced a remarkable spike in revenue mid-November, hitting approximately $214K. Weekly downloads and active users followed a more stable pattern, with downloads peaking at around 29.4K in mid-December and active users reaching about 386K in the same period.

Merchant Master from HaoPlay Limited showed a declining trend in weekly downloads, starting from around 71.5K in late September to approximately 8.9K by the end of December. Revenue, however, remained relatively stable, fluctuating around $32K to $49K. Active users also decreased, ending the quarter with approximately 36K.

Global City: Building Games by MY.GAMES B.V. maintained a steady revenue stream, peaking at about $37.6K in late November. Weekly downloads were highest in early November, reaching around 38.1K, while active users saw a rise towards the end of December, hitting approximately 66K.

The Tribez: Build a Village from Game Insight displayed a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at around $30.3K in late November. Weekly downloads showed a gradual increase, hitting approximately 6.9K by the end of December. Active users fluctuated slightly, ending the quarter at around 38.2K.
